Many individuals serve as volunteers at WNC Group Homes. The primary areas include:
Finance (finances, audit, risk management)
Communications (public relations, marketing, website)
Fundraising
Board Development (recruiting and training Board members)
The Human Rights Committee is charged with monitoring the protection of the rights of our residents in three areas. The committee monitors the use of all restrictive program interventions and behavior control medications, and acts as a resident advocate during investigations of allegations of abuse, neglect or exploitation. The committee is made up of community members who have a good understanding of the support needs of persons with Developmental Disabilities and Autism. This committee meets each month for a review of each group home (on a rotating quarterly basis). The committee provides recommendations and feedback, as appropriate, to the Psychological Associate and the QMRP with regards to the information shared during each meeting session.
